Whole Hog Butchering Class

Have you ever wanted to attend or better yet THROW a WHOLE HOG PARTY? Well now you can.

Come out to see a hog being smoked WHILE learning how to butcher and smoke a whole hog on your own. Chef Tyson Holzheimer of CO Craft Butchers will demonstrate butchering techniques on a CO raised Heritage breed hog & we'll be slow smoking another hog all day long for everyone's dining pleasure.

Backyard BBQ Rib Competetion

Proud Souls Barbecue & Provisions is excited to announce our 1st Annual Backyard BBQ Rib Competition on Sunday, April 15th in our parking lot! Each team will be provided with 2 racks of Pork Spare Ribs for cooking. Competition begins at 8 AM with a 3 PM turn-in time.  Award Ceremony to follow at 3:30 PM. We ask that teams not have any experience cooking in any sanctioned professional BBQ competitions. Public is welcome to attend! We will be passing out FREE BBQ samples to everyone in attendance.

BBQ Test Kitchen : Ribs

We are very excited to announce that this coming Saturday, October 28th we will have our friend Erik Kos of BurntOut BBQ in our shop for a BBQ Test Kitchen.  Please join us anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 where we will be examining the differences between pork spareribs and beef back ribs. 

The ribs will be cooked similarly on two separate Gateway Drum Smokers, using a BBQ technique commonly referred to as “Hot and Fast.” 

Come in to explore and taste the subtle differences among both types of ribs, seasonings, and cooking techniques.  We will have the entire BurntOut line of sauces and rubs available for you to taste including the hottest BBQ finishing sauce on the market today – BurntOut BBQ’s Grill Candy!  Trust us, you won’t want to miss this  interactive and tasty demonstration.
